May God's Richest And Best Be Yours Throughout The New Year. I'm Expecting Good Things To Come My Way This Year And I Bestow The Same For You. Happy New Year!

They wear their hats inside their heads- And go to sleep beneath their beds. They only eat the apple pealing- And take their walks across the ceiling. Good Day! ....................Need another vacation.

Home again, home again, giggety jog! Miss Kitty was happy and so was the dog. Dog? Well it rhymed anyway.....The fish on the floor, jumped out of the water, so says my son, 'cause I don't have a daughter..... well, one of my own. So far so good....The leaves on the deck were knee deep and brown, they fell from the trees and covered the ground. Better stop while I'm ahead.....We be home now, vacations are always too short.

I went from feeling like this ugly thing looks to dancing, [almost]

Hey Hey! Thanks for pulling for me. I finally feel good enough to crawl out from under the wood pile. Rough stuff. But I will say, " I didn't have to cook, do laundry and all that stuff." That was the ONLY good part. Couldn't even keep a sip of water down, lost a couple lbs., guess that was another good thing. .Every bone in my head hurt, even to lay it on a pillow. Now, what to do about those terrible, horrible, uncomfortable, chilling, miserable, bothersome, drenching night sweats. Ug! Good to be back in the land of the living. Thanks Ruth for keeping Tim.

Good, simple, old time food, served on pewter [?] plates.
Before restoration and relocation.
Not sure of time period here.
Historic Michie Tavern- A famous tavern of the 1700's . A wealth of traditional charm clings to early American taverns. The very words create an atmosphere of candlelight, graciousness and hospitality. At historic Michie Tavern, ca. 1784, just below Jefferson's beloved Monticello [meaning Little Mountain] the pages of history are turned back more than 200 years where a striking portrayal of preRevolutionaary life may still be observed.
Michie tavern was established in 1784 by a Scotsman William Michie. The tavern served as the social center of it's community and accommodated travelers with food, drink, lodging and "good keeping of horses." This Virginia Historic Landmark was relocated to Monticello Mountain in 1927 and became a textbook example of the 1920's Preservation Movement. www.michietavern.com
We ate here on our way up the mountain to visit Monticello.

Imagine the real thing after dark.
Walking back to the parking lot I saw this tree with a security light behind it.
